Paro to Thimphu: the capital’s quiet charm

Drive to Thimphu (around 1.5 hours) with scenic river stops. Thimphu is calm and intimate, nothing like a typical Asian capital.
At the monastery, your guide will help you understand why this place matters, not just the photographs, but the feeling of standing there. The view across the valley gorge is unforgettable.
