    Itinerary

Arrive in Paro where your guide will greet you and escort you to Thimphu, Bhutan’s lively yet laid-back capital. On the way, stop at Tachogang Bridge, a historic iron chain bridge spanning a rushing river. Once in Thimphu, check in at your hotel and enjoy a relaxed evening stroll through the main street. Gather for a welcome dinner, where your guide will introduce the journey ahead.

After breakfast, explore Thimphu’s most striking sights: the giant Buddha Dordenma overlooking the valley, the Memorial Chorten, and the Royal Textile Academy. Witness traditional paper-making and visit the local craft bazaar. In the evening, enjoy an archery demonstration — Bhutan’s national sport — before dinner.

Drive over Dochula Pass, stopping to take in panoramic Himalayan views framed by 108 white chortens. Descend into the lush Punakha Valley, visiting the breathtaking Punakha Dzong at the confluence of two rivers. Cross the country’s longest suspension bridge before a riverside dinner.

Begin the day with an optional rafting trip on the Mo Chhu or Pho Chhu river. Later, hike through scenic paddy fields to Chimi Lhakhang, the Temple of Fertility. In the afternoon, explore a nearby village, meeting locals and sampling seasonal fruits or butter tea.

Travel to the serene Phobjikha Valley, winter home to the black-necked cranes. Stop at Gangtey Monastery before enjoying the Gangtey Nature Trail, an easy walk through forests and open meadows. End the day at a traditional farmhouse for a warm dinner.

A long but scenic drive takes you deeper into central Bhutan. Pass mountain passes, rivers, and rural hamlets before arriving in Bumthang. Settle into your lodge and enjoy a quiet evening under a starry sky.

Explore Bumthang’s spiritual landmarks: Jakar Dzong, Kurjey Lhakhang, and Tamshing Monastery. Visit a local cheese factory or honey farm for a taste of regional specialties. Optional evening hot stone bath for deep relaxation.

On the return journey, stop in Trongsa to tour the majestic Trongsa Dzong and the Tower Museum. Continue to Punakha for a peaceful evening.

Return to Paro with stops at scenic viewpoints. Visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples, before an evening at leisure.

Hike to the iconic Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), perched dramatically on a cliffside. Take your time to enjoy the views and atmosphere. After descending, share a farewell lunch before your transfer to the airport for departure.
